The Harvard Vanguard Endoscopy Center At Kenmore is a state-of-the-art facility, which offers a broad spectrum of services including colonoscopy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy. Our team of doctors, nurses and medical assistants has performed more than 30,000 procedures. Our patients consistently rate our nursing staff very highly and 100% of surveyed patients indicate they would recommend the center to family and friends.
After your primary care doctor has made a referral for a regular colonoscopy screening, you can make a convenient appointment directly with the gastroenterology department. If your medical history is more complicated, you will be prescreened by our nurse practitioner and/or evaluated by a gastroenterologist. You may be referred to the Harvard Vanguard Colon Cancer Risk Assessment Program where further genetic testing counseling is offered.
Hepatitis C Treatment Support Program is offered to help patients prepare for and manage their hepatitis treatment. Our nurse specialists focus on education and support by helping patients understand what to expect and how to administer their treatments. Nurses closely follow patients with regular phone check-ins, symptom management and coordination of lab testing and results.
