Gene Lindsey, MD
President and CEO
Dr. Gene Lindsey is President and CEO of Atrius Health and has been a practicing internist and cardiologist for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (an Atrius Health affiliate) and its predecessors since 1975. Previously he was Chairman of the Board of Directors for Atrius Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. He also served on the board of Harvard Community Health Plan/Harvard Pilgrim Health Care from 1991 to 2000.
Dr. Lindsey received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of South Carolina. He completed an internship, residency, and clinical fellowship in cardiology at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (now Brigham and Women's Hospital) and has been on staff at Brigham and Women's Hospital since 1971. Dr. Lindsey is a past recipient of the Harvard Community Health Plan Dorsey Award and the Harvard Pilgrim Ebert Award. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Tom Congoran
Chief Financial Officer
Tom Congoran has extensive management, finance and information systems experience and is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. Prior to joining the organization, Tom served as Vice President of Business Development for Pegasystems, Inc., a publicly traded software company. Tom also previously held the positions of Chief Operating Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Hampshire and Chief Financial Officer for Healthsource, Inc., a publicly traded HMO management company then acquired by CIGNA. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stanford University, an MBA in Accounting from San Diego State University, and a Masters degree in education from Tufts University.

Mary Dawley
Chief Operating Officer
Mary Dawley has been Chief Operating Officer, supporting site and specialty operations for Harvard Vanguard since March 2008. Previously Mary worked for Caritas Christi Health Care System as Chief Operating Officer for the physician network. Mary has held management positions at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, and St. Elizabeth's Hospital of Boston. Mary also held clinical nursing positions at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston City Hospital, and University Hospital in Boston. Mary holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from University of Massachusetts/Worcester, a Bachelor in Nursing degree from Emmanuel College, and a diploma in nursing from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing.

Beth Honan
Vice President, Contracting
Beth Honan has been with Harvard Vanguard since June 2000. Prior to joining Harvard Vanguard, she spent a combined 10 years working at Tufts Health Plan and Lowell General Hospital in a number of different management positions. Beth's responsibilities included network development and contracting, market development, strategic planning, professional relations and provider operations. Beth received her Bachelor of Science degree from Connecticut College and her Masters degree in Health Care Administration from Simmons College.

Tim McMurrich
Senior Project Manager
Tim McMurrich has over 30 years of experience in managing operations, infrastructure, and governance. From 1968 to 2002, Tim served in several executive roles with Sun Life Financial in Wellesley, MA, including Vice President, Individual Products and Services; Vice President, Internal Services; Vice President, National Banking; and Vice President, Risk Management. In addition to his professional work, Tim also served in a variety of volunteer positions for the town of Wellesley, including as a member of the board of directors for the Wellesley Chamber of Commerce. Tim received his Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University. Currently, Tim is a Senior Project Manager for Harvard Vanguard.

Dan Michaud
Chief Human Resources Officer
Dan Michaud joined Harvard Vanguard in August 2010 as Vice President of Human Resources. Previously, Dan was Vice President for Human Resources at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI, the primary teaching affiliate of Brown Medical School and one of the nation's leading specialty hospitals for women and newborns. He also served as Human Resources Consultant at Wesleyan University and spent 7 years at Caritas Christi Healthcare. At Caritas, Dan directed Human Resources operations at three Boston-area hospitals (Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Caritas Carney Hospital, and Caritas Norwood Hospital) with 6,000 employees. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Masters degree in Public Administration from University of Maine in Orono, ME. He is active in several state and national human resources organizations.

Daniel Moriarty
Chief Information Officer
Dan Moriarty joined Harvard Vanguard and Atrius Health in January 2010 as Chief Information Officer. Previously, Dan was at Harvard University since 1995, most recently as University CIO for the past 10 years and as CIO of Harvard Medical School for the preceding 6 years. In this most recent position, Dan was responsible for managing enterprise-wide information technology initiatives, including administrative systems, academic computing, and IT infrastructure in the areas of networking, telecommunications, data center operations, and core user services. Dan has taught at Harvard for 15 years in graduate degree and executive programs in HealthCare IT and Strategy. In previous positions, Dan was director of the information technology practice at APM in New York and president of the John Snow, Inc.-Software Division in Boston. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College and an MBA from Clark University. He has numerous publications and has lectured nationally on topics such as strategic planning, information systems management, information technology assessment, health care management, and software development.

Deborah Morsi, PhD, RN, NEA-BC
Vice President of Nursing
Deborah Morsi joined Harvard Vanguard in November 2012 as the Vice President of Nursing. She brings to our practice an enormous breadth of knowledge, experience, and compassion focused on what is best for patients. Prior to joining the organization, Deborah served as Vice President of Patient Care Systems for Baystate Medical Center and Chief Nursing Officer of Baystate Health for the past eight years. In her total of 30 years at Baystate, Deborah served in various leadership roles including Nursing Operations, Nursing Practice & Research, and as a Nurse Manager. Deborah has also previously worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Deborah received her BS in Nursing from SUNY Brooklyn, an MS degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and a PhD in Nursing from University of Massachusetts. Deborah has numerous publications covering such topics as patient safety, process improvement, and nursing job satisfaction.
Kimberly Nelson
Chief Legal Officer
Prior to becoming Chief Legal Officer in April 2010, Kim Nelson served as Vice President and General Counsel since September 2000. Kim's responsibilities include advising all levels of management and staff on a broad range of health law and general corporate issues, including governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, employment, licensure issues, network management, accreditation, patient care and professional staff matters. Previously, Kim was Associate General Counsel/Director of Risk Management at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care from 1996 to 2000 and Assistant General Counsel at Harvard Community Health Plan beginning in 1992. Kim began her law career as an associate with a law firm focused primarily on medical malpractice defense and employment law. Kim is also a registered nurse and was on the nursing staff at Beth Israel Hospital in the early 1980s.

Michael Pinnolis, MD
Interim Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President
Dr. Pinnolis has been an ophthalmologist at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates for 30 years with a subspecialty interest in retinal diseases and surgery. He has previously served as Chief of Visual Services, Medical Director of Central Surgical Specialties, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, and Chief of Healthcare Improvement for Harvard Vanguard. Dr. Pinnolis received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and his medical degree from Tulane University. He completed his residency at Stanford University in California and did a fellowship in retinal and vitreous diseases and surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Pinnolis is board certified in ophthalmology, and he currently sees patients at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates’ Kenmore Practice.

Marci Sindell
Chief External Affairs Officer, Atrius Health
Interim President and CEO, Atrius Health Foundation
Marci Sindell, Chief External Affairs Officer for Atrius Health, is responsible for public policy, government relations, and leads the overall marketing program for Atrius Health and its largest affiliate, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, including all aspects of internal communications, public relations, marketing communications and advertising, health education and promotion, and community relations. Additionally, Marci serves as interim President and CEO of the Atrius Health Foundation, leading development efforts in support of care delivery innovation and patient service. Marci joined Harvard Vanguard in January 2006 as the Vice President of Marketing. Previously, Marci held a variety of senior management positions at Haemonetics Corporation, a medical device company, including Senior Vice President, Business Design and Vice President, North American Marketing, and positions in operations at Millipore Corporation and Corning Glass Works. Marci received her bachelor’s degree in materials engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Marci serves on the Board of the Massachusetts Health Council, on the WGBH Corporate Executive Council, on the Hebrew Senior Life Board of Trustees, the Leadership Council of Greater Boston Aligning Forces for Quality, the planning committee for Massachusetts Health Leaders for Appropriate and Affordable Care, and served for the last 5 years on the Executive Leadership for the Team Boston Heart Walk.

Leland (Bud) Stacy
Vice President, Finance
Bud Stacy has served as the Vice President of Finance for Harvard Vanguard since its inception in 1998. Prior to 1998 Bud was Vice President of Finance - Health Centers Division of Harvard Pilgrim. Bud has 22 years of progressive experience working in treasury, accounting, financial services, insurance claims processing, medical billing, and systems at Harvard Community Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim, and Harvard Vanguard. Bud received his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Business.
