Atrius Health Practices Named to the Harvard Pilgrim Physician Group Honor Roll for Excellence in Adult and Pediatric Patient Care

Boston, MA - Atrius Health, a non-profit alliance of five medical groups throughout eastern Massachusetts, is pleased to announce that the Harvard Pilgrim Physician Group Honor Roll has given them 22 awards across their 14 practices for excellence in pediatric and adult care.

This is Harvard Pilgrim’s Sixth Annual Quality “Honor Roll.” The Honor Roll highlights adult and pediatric physician groups that have achieved exceptional results in their approach to disease prevention and the treatment of chronic illness. Harvard Pilgrim selected the Honor Roll physician groups based on clinical performance measured against national standards set by HEDIS® (Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set), a tool developed for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to assess the clinical performance of doctors and other medical professionals.

Atrius Health physicians received “With Distinction” honors in both categories and exceeded the national 90th percentile in all pediatric measures and all adult measures. These measures include breast and cervical cancer screening, asthma management, and diabetic testing and management for adults, and well-child and well-adolescent visits and asthma management for children.

"Everyone at Atrius Health is dedicated to providing high quality care for our patients and this recognition is a wonderful testament to our focus on that mission,” said Jeffrey Levin-Scherz, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and Atrius Health.

All five Atrius Health medical groups, including Dedham Medical Associates, Granite Medical, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, South Shore Medical Center and Southboro Medical Group, have been honored with awards for excellent patient care.
