Dr. Jeffrey Garber Named President Elect of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists
Boston, Mass. (May 22, 2008) – Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a multi-specialty physician group with practice sites throughout eastern Massachusetts, proudly announces that Dr. Jeffrey R. Garber, Chief of Endocrinology at Harvard Vanguard, has been named President Elect of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE).
Before joining Harvard Vanguard in 1981, Dr. Garber studied mathematics at Cornell University and went on to be a member of the first medical school class of the State University of New York’s Health Sciences Center at Stony Brook. After he trained in internal medicine at LA County USC Medical Center, he returned east to be an endocrine fellow in the Harvard Thorndike Laboratory at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital. During his 27-year tenure at Harvard Vanguard, Dr. Garber established the endocrine division of Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, where he continues to serve as Chief of Endocrinology. Dr. Garber is a charter member of AACE and is also an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Garber currently practices at Harvard Vanguard’s Kenmore location and resides in Brookline, Mass.
