Harvard Vanguard Appoints Michael Roper Site Administrator for Burlington Practice

Burlington, MA - (July 2009) - Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a multi-specialty physician practice with offices across eastern Massachusetts and an affiliate of Atrius Health, has appointed Michael Roper as site administrator for its Burlington practice.

In this role, Roper assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations of the site, including collaboration with chiefs and specialty directors in internal medicine, pediatrics, medical and surgical specialties, obstetrics and gynecology, behavioral health, radiology, lab and pharmacy. He will also work to implement organization-wide initiatives.

Roper joins Harvard Vanguard from Caritas Christi Health Care in Brighton. He first served as the practice administrator where he provided direction and support for the practice management of 8 multi-site practice locations for internal medicine. He then served as director of community practice management where he was responsible for the comprehensive practice management of 18 practice site locations within the physician network of St. Elizabeth's Hospital including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and family practice. Prior to his work at Caritas, Roper was the administrative director in the department of orthopedic surgery at Boston Medical Center.

Roper has a B.S. and an M.P.A. from Suffolk University. He is a current resident of West Roxbury.
