Atrius Health and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates Appoint Thomas M. Congoran Chief Financial Officer
Newton, Mass. (Sept. 11, 2008) – Atrius Health and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates are pleased to announce that Thomas M. Congoran has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of both organizations. Congoran has served as interim Chief Financial Officer since March 2008. Atrius Health is an alliance of five non-profit medical groups that includes Dedham Medical Associates, Granite Medical, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, Southboro Medical Group, and South Shore Medical Center.

I have tremendous confidence in his judgment.”
Congoran has extensive management, finance, and information systems experience. Prior to serving as interim CFO, Congoran was interim Chief Information Officer for Atrius Health and Harvard Vanguard from August 2007 to January 2008. Previously, Congoran was Vice President of Business Development for Pegasystems, Inc., a publicly traded software company. Prior to that, he was President and Founder of 1mind Corporation, a privately held company that was acquired by Pegasystems.
Congoran also previously held the positions of Chief Operating Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Hampshire and Chief Financial Officer for Healthsource, Inc., a publicly traded HMO management company then acquired by CIGNA.
Congoran holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University, an MBA from San Diego State University, and a Master’s degree from Tufts University. Congoran and his family reside in Hopkinton, NH.
