Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates to Provide Health Services for Wheelock College Students
Boston, MA (February 5, 2009) - Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a multi-specialty physician practice with practices across eastern Massachusetts and an affiliate of Atrius Health, is pleased to announce that it is now providing medical care to Wheelock College students.
Harvard Vanguard’s Kenmore practice—a five-minute walk from the Wheelock campus—will provide access to a comprehensive range of medical services for Wheelock students. The Kenmore practice offers primary and specialty care, as well as imaging, lab and pharmacy in one convenient location.
“This new partnership with Harvard Vanguard provides access for our students to a comprehensive range of medical services, offered by a multi-specialty physician group renowned for the quality of their care and affiliated with leading Boston hospitals,” said Barbara Morgan, Wheelock Dean of Students. “Our partnership with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates extends our commitment to providing the best possible services to our students."
Some of the services offered to students will be basic physical exams, management of acute and chronic illnesses, academic and sports clearance, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, as well as gynecologic services.
Building on its long-term commitment to providing health care to the community, Harvard Vanguard currently operates health services for Wentworth Institute of Technology as well as the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
