Harvard Vanguard has a long-standing teaching mission and our clinicians are recognized as leaders and innovators in clinical education. As an affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS), many Harvard Vanguard clinicians act as teachers, preceptors, lecturers and tutors for HMS students and courses. Our physicians also collaborate with universities, hospitals and other organizations locally and nationally on a broad range of research studies focused on improving clinical practice and outcomes, evaluating the effectiveness of drug treatments and protocols, and increasing patient involvement in their care.
Research at Harvard Vanguard
Promoting research is a key part of Harvard Vanguard’s strategic mission. To advance this mission, Harvard Vanguard accepts support from government agencies, foundations, and other external sponsors to conduct research; ultimately focused on improving the health and the quality of health care for our patients and the community at large. Our physicians conduct research studies across a broad range of clinical areas, including primary care, oncology, cardiology and neurology. Harvard Vanguard collaborates with universities, hospitals and other organizations locally and nationally to improve clinical practices and outcomes, evaluate the effectiveness of drug treatments and protocols, and increase patient involvement in their care. These enable us to offer rewarding, flexible, and supportive teaching opportunities. We have a large number of physicians and other health care professionals with experience and expertise in many clinical areas.
