The Cambridge site does not offer pre-scheduled weekend and holiday urgent care appointments, however, we do offer urgent care at these sites: Braintree, Chelmsford, Kenmore, Peabody, Somerville and Wellesley.     PARKING INFO: Parking is available at our offices for $2.00 per visit.

    MBTA INFO: Take the MBTA Lechmere-Harvard Bus #69 that runs along Cambridge Street, and ask the driver to let you off at Robert Road.

The Cambridge practice of Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates has been caring for patients since 1979.  The office is conveniently located between Harvard and Inman Squares, opposite Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and next to the Youville and Cambridge Hospitals.

Our Cambridge practice provides primary care for adults and children, as well as a wide range of medical and surgical specialty care. Our practice has relationships with leading academic and community hospitals including Mount Auburn Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Boston Children's Hospital.

Cambridge Hours of Operation

Our building is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm during the week. Department appointment hours can vary, so please refer to the department times below or call a specialty department listed in the right-hand menu.

* The information above indicates the hours during which patients are seen in each department. Department phones are answered directly from 8:00am until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, after which calls are transferred to our central, after-hours medical advice staff.

24/7 Medical Advice

Medical advice is available to Harvard Vanguard patients by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need medical advice after office hours, please call your doctor's office. Follow the phone prompts to be routed to our after-hours triage service staffed by Harvard Vanguard nurse practitioners and physician assistants with access to your electronic medical record. Click here to learn more.

Weekend & Holiday Urgent Care

All Harvard Vanguard patients have access to adult and pediatric weekend and holiday urgent care at 6 regionally located practices (Braintree, Chelmsford, Kenmore, Peabody, Somerville, and Wellesley).
