Why Volunteer at Harvard Vanguard

There are many reasons for donating your time to others. You may value the opportunity to make a difference in others' lives. The social interaction that comes with helping people may be important to you. Or you may enjoy the chance to give back to the community. Volunteering at Harvard Vanguard offers all of those benefits, plus the fun of working with a great group of caring people in a safe and comfortable setting.

We seek volunteers to work several hours per week or per month, typically mid-morning or mid-afternoon Monday through Friday, to support our greeter program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing patients to departments
  • Escorting new patients to departments
  • Assisting patients with wheelchairs
  • Monitoring the lobby and assisting patients with elevators

People who have received excellent care at Harvard Vanguard —or have family members who have— may wish to give back to our practice. Volunteering is a perfect way for these individuals to show thanks for their good health.
