FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions
Q
: What should I bring to my pre-travel consultation?
A: Please bring any past vaccination records as well as a detailed itinerary of your trip. Print out a Travel Health Form and bring this with you.
Q: Can you tell me how many immunizations I will need before my appointment?
A: We recommend immunizations based on a number of factors, including your destination, length of stay, and health and immunization history. Recommendations are tailored to your specific needs and itinerary at the time of the consultation.
Q: How soon before I travel should I have an appointment?
A: Ideally, at least 6 weeks prior to departure. We will do our best to accommodate the last minute business traveler as well.
Q: Will my insurance cover the pre-travel consultation and immunizations?
A: Some health insurance plans may not fully cover travel medicine services. Always verify with your insurance company regarding your specific coverage or the need for a specialty referral before your appointment.
Q: How long should I expect a pre-travel consultation to take?
A: Most appointments range from 20 to 40 minutes depending on the complexity of the itinerary.
Q: When are appointments available?
A: Tuesday and Thursday at our Sudbury office. Additional appointment times are available at our Concord office.
