Harvard Vanguard Health Services At Wentworth Institute of Technology for Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Students

Harvard Vanguard Health Services at Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) provides primary medical care services to students enrolled at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services (MCPHS). Students may use Harvard Vanguard Student Health Services for diagnosis and treatment of both short and long term illnesses and for preventive care.

For the school semester, all medical care will be provided at the student health center on the WIT campus from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

MCPHS students have access to medical care at Harvard Vanguard's Kenmore practice when the student health center is not open. This would include:

• Weekday mornings from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Weekday evenings from 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Sundays and Holidays from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Harvard Vanguard Student Health Services respects student confidentiality. No health information is released to parents or college staff without the students' written authorization unless required by law or unless it is a life-threatening situation.

Medical advice via phone is available during times when neither the student health center nor the Harvard Vanguard Kenmore practice are open. This can be accessed by dialing the main student health center telephone number.

For residence hall students and for all students while on campus, in the case of a life-threatening emergency, immediately contact MCPHS Public Safety at 617-732-2900. For all students when off-campus, in the case of a life-threatening emergency, immediately contact 911.

When using the Harvard Vanguard Student Health Services, identify yourself as a MCPHS student. A validated MCPHS photo identification card, your health insurance card and a co-payment (if applicable to your health insurance plan) must be presented at the time of your visit. Please be aware IF your health insurance plan requires a referral from your Primary Care Physician, be prepared to provide documentation of such a referral or to work with WIT/Harvard Vanguard staff to seek such a referral.
