Pulmonology at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates
Welcome to the Pulmonology department at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. Our physicians and their medical teams provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions and disorders of the lungs and bronchial tubes, including obstructive lung diseases (such as asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis), lung cancer, diseases of the connective tissue and blood vessels of the lung, and sleep-disordered breathing.
Pulmonary care is offered at our practices in Kenmore, Quincy, and West Roxbury.
Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates offers classes to its patients on a variety of health education topics. Two classes related to pulmonary issues that we currently offer are:
- COPD Education - includes an overview of the illness, a review of medications, spirometry (breathing test), and discussion on nutritional needs and exercise techniques. Click here for more information.
- Adult Asthma Education - includes how to identify triggers of your episodes, how to use a home peak flow meter and inhaler, as well as a review of medications and how to develop a control plan. Click here for more information.
