Clinical excellence and your care team
We are dedicated to providing clinical excellence and individualized services to our patients. Our physicians are highly trained, and many hold teaching appointments at Harvard Medical School. Physician care is supported by a team of providers, including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and medical assistants who assist in providing your care. Most importantly, we work collaboratively with our patients to provide a special level of personalized care.
Convenient access to services
Our practices are conveniently located in many communities in and around greater Boston. We offer flexible appointment times, and provide laboratory, radiology and other services onsite. We also offer MyHealth Online, a way for you to communicate with your physician online.
Weekend and Holiday Care
Several Harvard Vanguard offices are available for adult and pediatric urgent care on weekends and holidays. To make an urgent care appointment on a weekend or holiday, call your doctor's office. If your doctor's office does not offer weekend and holiday hours, your call will be automatically directed to one of our practices that does.
After Hours Medical Advice
Medical advice is available by telephone 24 hours a day by calling your doctor's office. After hours, a team of Harvard Vanguard medical staff answers calls to provide medical advice and information. With access to our electronic medical record (EMR) system, you can be sure that your most recent medical information has been referenced in the advice or information that you receive.
Knowing your health history
At Harvard Vanguard, coordination of care is enhanced by our advanced electronic medical record system. Our physicians have immediate access to the latest information in your medical record. This includes information on any care you may be receiving for another medical condition or illness, recent test results or changes in medications — all important information that may affect your care.

We make it easy to find a Harvard Vanguard physician who is right for you. We offer many physicians who practice close to where you live or work and deliver at excellent hospitals convenient to you.
We accept most insurance
Harvard Vanguard physicians accept most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Fallon Community Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Plan, and Tufts Medicare Preferred.
